How to manage or cancel DashCanopy billing yourself
Plans

The short answer
Sign in, then open Manage billing. It appears on the pricing page once you are logged in, and on Settings → Payments & Plan at /settings/payments. Both start a Stripe Customer Portal session for the customer stored on your account. In that portal you can update the payment method or cancel the subscription. You do not need to email support to find the button. If Stripe has no customer for the account yet, DashCanopy tells you to start a subscription from Pricing first. There is nothing to cancel until a checkout has created the billing account.
This is a walkthrough of the product’s own billing path. It is not legal advice, tax advice, or a promise about refunds. Refund rules are whatever checkout and Stripe showed you, plus the terms on the site. Read those for your situation.
Sign in with the email on the account
DashCanopy sign-in is a magic link. Open login, enter the email on the account, and use the one-time link that arrives. There is not a separate password to reset before you can reach billing. If you do not see the message, check the spam folder and confirm you used the same address you checked out with. A different address is a different account, and it will not have the subscription.
The portal only opens for a logged-in session. Bookmarking the Stripe portal from last time is less reliable than using Manage billing again, because the session is created for the current login.
Where the button sits
On pricing, the Manage billing control is for a signed-in customer, next to the note that you can manage payment methods or cancel. If you are not signed in, the page offers the plans and the trial instead. Sign in first, then return.
In the app, Settings → Payments & Plan is the same control. The settings overview describes that card as the place to view the current plan and manage billing. The portal sends you back to /settings/payments when you finish.
Use either entrance. They are not two different subscriptions. They request a portal session for the same account.
What you can do in the portal
Stripe’s customer portal is Stripe’s interface. DashCanopy opens it. The actions Stripe shows — updating a card, canceling, viewing invoices — are the actions to use. Stripe documents the portal as the way a business lets a customer manage a subscription (customer portal). If a button you expected is missing, you are looking at the configuration tied to this account, not at a second, hidden DashCanopy cancel form.
Cancel there if you want the subscription to stop. Do not only delete the site tiles and assume billing stopped. Tiles are the monitoring list. The subscription is the Stripe record. Removing a site frees a slot on your cap. It does not close the plan.
Update the card there if a renewal failed because the card expired. Then look at the portal’s status for the subscription rather than guessing from a red banner. If a payment fails, the portal and the email from Stripe are the sources for what happens next.
Trial, card, and the three prices
Each paid plan shows a 7-day trial. The landing page states that Stripe requires a card to start a trial, and that you are not charged until the 7 days are up if you cancel before then. Checkout is where those terms are confirmed for your session. Read them there. A blog post cannot see the exact text Stripe shows you at that moment.
The plan prices to expect, from the pricing page, are Starter at $19 per month, Pro at $69, and Agency at $149. Annual billing is $190, $690, and $1,490 per year. For Starter, $190 per year is about $15.83 per month when billed yearly. Changing between monthly and annual, if the portal offers it, is still the same product at the annual or monthly amount. It is not a different feature list. What each tier includes is in choosing Starter, Pro, or Agency.
If you cancel during the trial, do it before the trial ends if your goal is to avoid the first charge. “Cancel any time” in the product copy still means you use this portal. It does not mean a charge reverses itself because you meant to cancel. If a charge already happened and you believe it should not have, use the portal’s invoice and the support path with the date and the email on the account. Have the facts. This article cannot look up your invoice.
Changing the plan you are on
Available plan changes are whatever billing shows you. The public tiers are the three above. Moving up matters when you have hit a cap — 5 sites on Starter, 15 on Pro — or you need a feature the lower tier does not list, such as webhooks, SMS, extra seats, or the API. Moving down matters when the roster shrank. Before you move down, reduce the site list to the lower cap. Otherwise you will be on a plan that cannot hold the tiles you still care about.
Seats follow the same table. Starter and Pro include one seat. Agency includes up to 5. Dropping from Agency to Pro is also a drop from a team plan to a single seat. Remove the extra people on purpose, first.
After a change, look at one tile and confirm checks still run. The interval may change with the tier: 10 minutes, 5 minutes, or 1 minute. That is expected. It is not a failed migration.
When the button says there is no billing account
A login that never started checkout has no Stripe customer. Manage billing cannot open a portal for a customer that was never created. Start a subscription from Pricing if you meant to be a customer. If you are sure you paid, you are likely signed in with a different email than the one that paid. Sign out, request a magic link to the paying address, and try Manage billing again.
A team member on an Agency seat manages the subscription only if their login is the one that owns billing. If the portal is not theirs, the account owner opens it. Do not create a second subscription on a personal email to “fix” a card on the company account. You will have two subscriptions.
What support is for
Support is for a broken button, a portal error, or a mismatch you cannot resolve from the invoice. It is not the faster cancel button. The faster path is the portal, which is why the product puts Manage billing in two places you can reach while logged in.
When you do write support, include the account email, the plan name you see, and the time you tried the button. Do not send a full card number. Stripe already has the card. A last-four-digits and the date are enough if an invoice is in dispute, and even that belongs in a channel you trust, not in a public form field you do not need.
The contact page is at contact. The support page is at support.
Questions about billing
I deleted my account’s sites. Am I canceled?
Not by that action alone. Cancel in the Stripe Customer Portal through Manage billing. Then confirm the subscription shows as canceled there.
Can I get a refund from this article?
No. This page cannot see your invoice or apply a refund. Use the portal for what it offers, and support plus the terms if you need a decision about a charge. Nothing here changes those terms.
Does the 7-day trial start when I add a site?
The trial is part of checkout for a paid plan, not part of adding a tile. Adding a site monitors a URL. Starting a trial is the billing action, which asks for a card. You can read the marketing pages without either.
