Glossary of Terms

DashCanopy's proprietary 0–100 composite health metric for a single site. Calculated from uptime, response time, GSC performance, and AI diagnosis grade. A Canopy Score above 80 is considered healthy; below 50 triggers an automatic alert recommendation.

The main portfolio grid on the DashCanopy dashboard. Each tile in the Canopy View represents one monitored site and displays its live health badge, visitor sparkline, revenue, and AI grade at a glance.

"Switch to Canopy View to see all 12 sites at once without scrolling."

A multi-persona AI analysis technique used by the Dash agent. Multiple synthetic AI personas — each representing a different reader type, buyer intent, or content angle — independently evaluate the same content and synthesize their findings into a single report. As a verb: to swarm-review an article.

"Run a Swarm Review on your top landing page to see how different audience segments react to your headline."

The synthesized output produced after all AI personas in a Swarm Review have independently evaluated content. The Swarm Consensus highlights points of agreement across personas (strong signals) and points of divergence (areas of uncertainty or audience split).

"The Swarm Consensus rated the CTA as 'weak' across 4 of 5 personas — a strong signal to rewrite it."

DashCanopy's autonomous AI agent. Dash can be given a task — audit a portfolio, fix underperforming articles, review content, or answer strategic questions — and works through it step by step, reporting back when done. Dash runs only on explicit user command or with opt-in Auto Mode.

"Ask Dash to run a Portfolio Audit and it will grade every site in your Canopy View within minutes."

An optional Dash agent setting that allows pre-defined corrective actions to be taken automatically when anomaly thresholds are exceeded. Auto Mode is off by default and requires explicit opt-in. Users can disable it at any time from Agent Settings.

"Enable Auto Mode with a 30% traffic-drop threshold and Dash will automatically run an SEO Fix when a site underperforms."

A single site card within the Canopy View. Each Canopy Tile displays the site's favicon, name, URL, health badge, visitor sparkline, revenue, response time, AI grade, and quick-action buttons.

"Click the ⚡ icon on any Canopy Tile to trigger an instant health refresh."

A DashCanopy integration method where a site actively sends (pushes) its stats to DashCanopy via a JavaScript snippet or REST API, rather than DashCanopy polling a /api/stats endpoint. Ideal for platforms that don't support server-side endpoints (e.g., Wix, Squarespace).

"Your Shopify store is in Push Mode — it sends order and visitor data to DashCanopy in real time."

The overall health status of a site as assessed by DashCanopy's monitoring system. Canopy Health has four states: Online (green), Degraded (amber), Offline (red), and Unknown (grey). Degraded means the site is responding but with elevated response times or error rates.

"Three sites show Degraded Canopy Health — check their response times in the tile detail view."

A real-time aggregate view of the entire site portfolio's health, visitor, and revenue metrics. The Portfolio Pulse is displayed in the DashCanopy header bar and updates every 60 seconds.

"The Portfolio Pulse shows 23 online, 1 offline, and $0 revenue today — something's wrong with the Stripe integration."

An automated notification triggered by a health event — downtime, grade drop, traffic anomaly, or webhook error — sent via SMS, email, or in-app notification depending on user settings.

"You received a Canopy Alert at 3:14am when ArborSage went offline."

A special Canopy Tile variant for sites that are part of a connected Network Hub. Network Tiles display a hub badge and pull additional data from the hub API, including cross-site visitor totals and hub event feeds.

"All sites in your connected network appear as Network Tiles in your Canopy View."

Bring Your Own Keys. A DashCanopy feature that lets users connect their own API keys (OpenAI, Twilio, Resend, Stripe) so AI features and alerts run directly on their accounts at cost price, bypassing DashCanopy's shared infrastructure markup.

"Enable BYOK with your OpenAI key to run unlimited AI diagnoses without hitting plan limits."

The directional change in a site's Canopy Score over time, displayed as an arrow: ↑ improving, → stable, ↓ declining. Trend is calculated from the last 4 weekly AI grade snapshots.

"The ↓ Canopy Score Trend on ThePublishingTimes.com suggests a content freshness issue — run a Content Gap analysis."

A single execution of a Dash agent task. Each Dash Run is logged with a site name, action type, timestamp, and success/failure status. Run history is visible in the Agent History tab at /agents.

"Your last Dash Run completed in 47 seconds and rewrote 3 underperforming articles on CoverCrushing.com."
